Boeing 777 Wing Ultimate Load Test
Aviation - Air Safety

Hello Captain Lim,

I found this
video on The Internet I thought you would be interested in; it appears to be the Boeing 777 wing load test that you have referred to numerous times on your webpage:

I am a very anxious flyer and have hardly ever flown. The last time I flew, I was clenching the armrests the whole trip and the flight attendants kept asking if I was okay because I didn't look well. (lol) I was just really scared.

I've done a lot of reading and although I*m sure it will be quite scary, I will grit my teeth a bear it. I'm flying from Australia to Ireland in May this year. All the news coverage of recent air disasters does not help much.

Thanks for your website!

Cheers,

Vic.

Hi Vic,

Many thanks for sharing the information. Even though I have read a lot about what I wrote, this is the first time I have actually seen the video of the Boeing 777 wing load test.

Well, now a picture (I mean a movie) is worth a thousand words to the readers!

So click
here again! …the Boeing 777 wings can really withstand incredible force. It only broke off after it had bent 24 feet!
