I am 12 years old and I am going on a flight soon on American Airlines. I am so scared and I thought what other way to get over my fear than talking to somebody that’s been on a plane a lot!
I been reading and researching a lot about airplanes and some people said horrible things about American Airlines.
Also, I am thinking about turbulence and being so high in the sky. It’s not helping me get over my fear. Also the plane that crashed into the twin towers was an American Airline plane and my dad was at 9/11
I want to go on vacation but I don't want to fly. What do I do?
There is nothing to be afraid of flying as it is safer than you travelling on a car. Your fear is caused by listening to stories from others. There are more horrible stories about car crashes but nobody is interested because they are so common.
I know turbulence is troubling for those first timers. There is nothing to worry about it as well as long as you are fastened to the seat belts when an announcement is made. It is a matter of discomfort just like riding on a bus over potholes on the road. Treat it as if you are on a roller coaster ride!
American Airlines is a safe airline as most others are in the US. If my few words do not convince you that flying is very safe and takes you to your destination fast, there is nothing I can do except for you to travel by car, train or ocean liners for your vacation.
