japan flight 123
I cannot imagine being in that plane for the 32 minutes it was in the air - plunging, then rising and then nose diving again... those poor, poor people on board. It must have been beyond terrifying to experience that, you simply cannot imagine. I know statistics say air travel is safe etc.. but it's stories like these that make me never want to set foot on an airplane again.

JAL 123
TRAGIC AT ITS PEAK, maybe 9/11 was more tragic than JAL 123 because of the number of deaths, but I just can't imagine what would have been in the minds of all those people being tormented by the plane's erratic lifts and falls for half an hour! disagree about Boeing not taking responsibility and not compensating the victims' families, Boeing may have not caused the accident but it also didn't avoid it, it was bare negligence Boeing, no matter what, 520 INNOCENT KILLED!

JAL 123
Have any pilots been able to safely land JAL 123 in a flight simulator? Simulator technology wasn't as capable in 1985 I'm sure but they've gotten very sophisticated now.
