Boeing 777 Wing Ultimate Load Test

Hello Captain Lim,

I found this
video on The Internet I thought you would be interested in; it appears to be the Boeing 777 wing load test that you have referred to numerous times on your webpage:

I am a very anxious flyer and have hardly ever flown. The last time I flew, I was clenching the armrests the whole trip and the flight attendants kept asking if I was okay because I didn*t look well. (lol) I was just really scared.

I*ve done a lot of reading and although I*m sure it will be quite scary, I will grit my teeth a bear it. I*m flying from Australia to Ireland in May this year. All the news coverage of recent air disasters does not help much. :-(

Thanks for your website!

Cheers,

Vic.

Hi Vic,

Many thanks for sharing the information. Even though I have read a lot about what I wrote, this is the first time I have actually seen the video of the Boeing 777 wing load test.

Well, now a picture (I mean a movie) is worth a thousand words to the readers!

So click
here again! …the Boeing 777 wings can really withstand incredible force. It only broke off after it had bent 24 feet!
