Dearest Captain Lim,
Thanks so much for taking the time to put together such a wonderful website. I will stop complimenting since your time is very valuable.
I applied to the Cathay Pacific Cadet Pilot program, and I will be going to the selection process soon. Here are some of my questions:
1) I graduated from a very good University in the United States. However, I majored in law. The last time I had touched Maths was 6 years ago. Should I review my Maths?
2) Regarding the aptitude test, I read from your website that it is about hand, eye, and feet coordination. What is a good way to practice? Will playing video games help?
3) What are some of the things I can do to prepare for the 1st and 2nd stages?
4) Do I have to study Physics and the entire different plane before I go to stage one? What about, how the plane works?
Thank you so much? I really appreciate your help? :)
Pauline
Hi Pauline,
1. Yes, you should review your Maths if you think you are rusty in this subject.
2. Yes, playing video games help but there are a lot of software around in the market to help you. Try this one here.
3. Please visit my Cathay Pacific Forum for some resources on Stages 1 & 2 of the interview.
4. You have to study Physics and know about planes together with some basic knowledge on aerodynamics. You must also know the principle of flight ? most of which can be found in my site and FAQ.
I wish you all the best! :-)
