Dear Captain Lim
As the matter of subject stated above, do seats where pilots sit on have some form of height adjustments?
Meaning that, can the pilots rise or lower their seats height to allow for their sitting conditions in the cockpit.
Thanks, and waiting to hear from you and also all the best in your flying career.
Elias Walmba
Hi Elias,
Indeed, pilots' seats do have height adjustments for viewing out of the cockpit window during landing as well as rudder pedal adjustments for their legs in order to control the direction of the plane on the ground or in the air.
On the Airbus pilot's seat, there are even more adjustments available. They are the lumbar cushion, headrest inclination, backrest tilt, armrest and horizontal controls.
These adjustments cater for pilots of different heights and sizes to ensure that they are comfortable when flying the planes.
