Where can I get some "real" simulator flying on the Boeing 777?

Hey Captain Lim,

I have a quick question for you that I hope don*t sound too stupid. I am a avid aviation and flight simulator enthusiast and we are always getting ribbed by airline pilots as to the quality and proficiency of MSFS as compared to actually flying a real plane.

I know that there is really no comparison, but still I would very much like to try my hand at flying on a "real" simulator - the type that airline pilots such as you are trained and rated on.

My question is: Is there anybody out there (USA mainland) renting out simulator time on quality simulators like the Boeing 777 to people such as myself? If so or if you hear of any, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

A. Hall

Hi Hall,

Real Boeing 777 simulator flight training are given to pilots of a particular airline that owns such planes. I am not sure if there are anybody or anyplace that provide amateurs a chance to fly a "real" Boeing 777 flight simulator.

When I did my simulator training in Seattle with Boeing, it was conducted by Flight Safety International. Today, the Boeing 777 simulator training is conducted by Alteon, a Boeing Company. In the USA, you can try and contact the following address for further details:-
