1. First Officers:

a. FO top FO salary is capped at 24,518 AED at Step 13. (24.01.05)
b. FO base 19,660 AED base (28.12.06)

2. Captains:

a. Capt top AED 40570 at Step 30, No advance/increment beyond this step (24.01.05)
b. Capt base AED 40570 at Step 30, No advance/increment beyond this step (24.01.05)
c. Capt base AED 24518 3% increments per year based on merit and company performance upto Step 30. DEC's start on AED 28650. (15.08.05)

3. Pension Details

Company pays 12% of basic monthly salary into provident fund scheme (15% after 10 years completed). Member pays a compulsory 5% of basic salary/month. Upon leaving company entitled to the following: less than 5 years completed-no portion of the companies contribution more than 5 years completed but less than 7 years: 75% of the companies portion 7 or more years completed: 100% of the companies contribution.

Progression rules from Step to Step

Movement up steps is for advancement (other than as discussed below for promotion from F/O to Captain)
Each year the Company reviews salaries and decided whether a movement up one Step will be awarded

Progression rules for promotion from First Officer to Captain

First Officer on Step 10 or better or any new staff starting from Step 1 get 10 extra steps on promotion to Captain

Hourly promotion pay for Captains and First Officers:

a. System

1.00 hour credit for each 1.00 hour actual block hour or flying duty
3.50 hours credit for each day of standby duty when not called-out
3.50 minimum hours credit for each hour of flying duty
4.00 hours credit each day of duty as a trainer
3.50 hours credit each day of duty as a trainee
3.50 hours credit for each day of duty on (promotional?) work or other ground duties
2.50 hours credit for each day of annual leave
1.00-hour credit for each 1.00 actual block hour or repositioning or deadheading duty

b. Payment

DHS400 per credit hour above monthly target for Captains
DHS200 per credit hour above monthly target for First Officer

c. Target

Productivity pay is only paid for credit hours above (amount?) per calendar day on a monthly basic

threshold of 83.70 credit hours in a 31-day month
threshold of 81.00 credit hours in a 30-day month
threshold of 78.30 credit hours in a 29-day month
threshold of 75.50 credit hours in a 28-day month

ATPL Bar

There is a Bar on reaching Step 4 when it is necessary to obtain a UAE ATPL to progress further up the pay scale

F/O Bar

There is a Bar on reaching Step 13 when it is necessary to be promoted to Captain to progress up the pay scale

Captain Bar

If after advancing 10 steps to a First Officer on promotion to Captain the new salary us below Step 10 then the salary will be increased to Step 13
