Pilot Recruitment Process:

Interview with flight ops, HR and a pilot in attendance. Technical, verbal reasoning, psychological profile and maths exams. A simulator ride is no longer part of the selection process. Those offered a position will be subject to a medical examination by a company doctor prior to employment.

Current Fleet:

Boeing 747-400 - 14 aircraft (L
atest delivered 11/03)
Boeing 747-200 no longer in service.

Airbus A340-300 - 8 aircraft currently (5 to remain in service, 2 at Virgin Nigeria,1 currently inactive).
Airbus A340-600 - 17 in service (October 06) 1 more due for delivery in 2006, and 4 more in 2007. (11/Nov/06)

Orders:

Virgin have 13 A340-600 aircraft as options. Also ordered 6 A380 aircraft, but have been put back to 2013.
