Is there anything you can say to lessen the dark cloud over me?

Hello Capt Lim,

Thanks for an outstanding site. I am considering a trip from DFW (Dallas-Forth Worth) to Germany and am a little anxious because of the current warnings on possible terrorism events. I am usually just a bit apprehensive anyway about flying, and this has just added to that feeling. It is not a trip of necessity but one to see old friends again for the first time in about 30 years. Since it is not a necessary trip that only adds to my quandary.

My son, who is attending school in Boston is also flying in from Boston to San Angelo, traveling later this month and then back again. I am sure that my husband and I will want to make a trip to Boston sometime this Fall. Is there anything that you can say to me to lessen this dark cloud and this feeling that perhaps I am foolish to even consider any trips at this particular time?

Thank you again for your site. It is extremely informative and I have printed it out to read in its entirety later today.

Betty Bailey,
San Angelo, Texas, USA.

Hi Betty,

All I can say to you is, every thing we do in life involve some risks. You may fall taking a shower, you may be mugged walking in the park or you may be knocked down by a car crossing a road! Go on and take a trip to Germany! Think positively instead of all the negative events and you would surely enjoy your journey there! Email me when you are back!
