Good Evening,
My husband and I are in our mid 40's and I am afraid to fly. Work for me this year has been very challenging and I am in need of a holiday. It would be so nice to just book a trip and go.
We are from rural Ontario Canada... I have flown out of Toronto to Puerto Vallarta and also out of Buffalo to Las Vegas... both trips I was medicated for the flight but still had high anxiety (and some excruciating right ear pain that started when descending and eased up after landing). During our vacation stay, I was so worried about the trip home. I had no appetite and I really couldn't enjoy myself.
Do you have a "magic phrase" or some comforting words that would lessen my anxiety? People around me go on holiday without blinking an eye about flying....they go...they come back....they had a great time and can't wait to do it again.
I would like to be one of those people! Please, what are your thoughts?
I'll understand if you don't reply.
Thanks for your website, it has been very helpful.

For the "magic phrase" please read this FAQ - Please help - I am afraid of turbulence.
My apologies if some of the links in my past FAQ do not work as I am in the process of updating them. Many more Fear of Flying FAQ are yet to be transferred to this new site.
