Dear Captain Lim,

It is certainly a blessing to have found your site. It is definitely THE resource for aspiring pilots like myself. Thanks for your effort and time. You are certainly a patient and dedicated captain and I hope to be your first officer in the very near future.

I would be attending the tea party very soon this week, together with the tests/final interview. From your website, I have gotten a good idea of what to expect for the tests/final interview. However, I do not know what to expect for the tea party.

I know that it will be a test of social interaction. I would be myself that day as I am active socially. Do you have any advice on how to approach this and what the panel is looking for at the tea party?

Thanks very much in advance for any advice you may give. Have a good week ahead.
Yours sincerely,

Marc.

Hi Marc,

The tea party is part of the selection process. It is to evaluate your character. Basically, they want to see that you are an all-rounded person, sociable, friendly, confident and knowledgeable in currents affairs, etc. Just be your natural self. Perhaps you can pick up some more tips from Wannabes in Emirates or other Airlines.

Dear Captain Lim,

I have attended the tea party and final interview a few days back and I was informed the next day to go for my medical examination!

Hopefully, I will clear my medicals, then go on to start my pilot training/career/dream. I really hope to be on the Boeing 777 fleet as it is my favorite plane too. I really enjoyed the selection process and the sit tests as they were really challenging.

Thank you again and I have made your web page my explorer start-up page as I know I will be reading it constantly now that I am going to fly!

Best regards,

Marc.
