Flight Movie Trailer 2012
Hi Captain Lim

Tremendous site truly.

I was wondering about pilot relationships. I have read some of the previous posts here but to no avail now.

I was wondering whether wives of pilots can fly with pilots (for free). I can imagine this would help them with worrying about extra-marital affairs. And are such affairs common? I can’t imagine they are any more common than real life?

I would like to be an airline pilot but recently since I started thinking about pilot marriages, it has disturbed me somewhat. As much as being a pilot would be a dream job, having a family would be more important.

And is it true long haul pilots actually get more time off per month than Monday-to-Friday workers?

Thank you Captain,

Sincerely

Dave Grohl

Hi Dave,

I mentioned something about pilot’s relationship in one of my article Real versus Reel Pilots in Travel 3Sixty magazine  here and two more previous answers in this site below:-

1.Is it true that pilots tend to be more promiscuous?

2. Can a professional pilot have a happy family?

Depending on the airlines, some allow the wives of pilots to fly for free for only limited flights only. At other times, they get special discounts to travel on company flights.

It is true that long haul pilots have more time off per month than a Monday-to-Friday workers.
