Updates
Yap, this is not the updated version. SIA had acquired 6 A380 as of August n a total of 77 B777's , mostly the -312ER series.

However, Capt Lim did a great job of providing us details on the B777-212 series. He had divided them into seat configs.

Fleet Size
Hi Yap,

Sorry, the SIA Corporate Webpage is the official one and therefore their figures are the latest. As I have stated in my Welcome Page, due to limited resources, I have been unable to keep some of the information (fleet size, salaries, etc) current but would endeavor to keep them up-to-date when I have the time.

Meanwhile, if you have any doubt, go to the source of the information.

Have a good day!

Cargo pilots paid per diem
Hi Capt Lim

I would to enquire on what do you mean by cargo pilots are paid per diem?
Does that mean if they are away for 4 days they are paid $8 x 48hrs? Do they
still get productivity, nightstop, inflight meal and overseas meal allowances?
Or is it paid on top of all the other allowances? Hope u can enlighten me up
on this matter. Thanks Capt. smilies/grin.gif

Asthma and Aviation
Hi Captain,
I am extremely interested to pursue a career in the aviation industry as a pilot. However, I am diagnosed with asthma and I have been diagnosed since birth. I am currently sixteen years old and my asthma is just starting to get under control, as I am trying my best to control myself. What are the chances of me being able to fly?

Thanks!
