The Man Behind the Stories
I’m Captain Lim Khoy Hing. For many years, my office was a cockpit window.
I once diverted 1,000 miles to Adelaide on a Boeing 777, forced away from Perth by severe weather. Later, flying over the Bay of Bengal, a violent jolt nearly threw me from my sleeping bunk — only my belt kept me in place. For a fleeting moment, I thought that was it. Over the years, I’ve also had the privilege of training hundreds of pilots who are now captains in airlines around the world.
After 25,500 hours, I retired with a suitcase full of logbooks and a head full of stories – some rarely heard in aviation.
A Pilot’s Story is my way of opening that cockpit door for you – giving you an honest and unfiltered look at what truly happens once the aircraft leaves the gate!
