The Sun has let me down!

Increasing my dosage of Vitamin D

Being an ex-pilot, I have always been very conscious about my health. As such, during my recent full blood check, I requested that Vitamin D deficiency be included since Dr Fauci, the US’s top infectious disease expert, says it improves immunity against Covid-19 infections.

To my surprise, the result yesterday revealed that I was indeed deficient in Vitamin D. I am also baffled why the sun tan that I have after my outdoor exercises did not do anything to help even though it has been nicknamed the sunshine vitamin.

Looking at the rate of infections in Malaysia, I am very distressed. I had my second dose of Pfizer and now Dr Fauci confirms that it is not a guarantee or even effective against the Delta variant.

As always, I fall back onto one of my flying mantras, ‘expect an engine failure during every take off’.  In other words, I am always well prepared whatever comes along.

Why so? I have heard that the hospital has no priority for the elderly folks (sigh) if doctors have to make a choice when admitting critical patients to the hospital.

I have now increased my Vitamin D dosage. I even have Ivermectin, Lian Hua, Zinc and others kept away in case I need these medications.

The Ivermectin drug is very controversial even among the doctors. It seems there is a hidden agenda by some big companies against this cheap and apparently effective medication.

Nevertheless, come what may, I will resort to this prescription if I need to.
